The government appointed a working committee from government sector and oil companies to study for an efficient oil transportation system for the country.
5 June 1990
The Cabinet approved the construction of multi-products pipeline stretching from Sriracha, Chonburi Province, to Saraburi Province. PTT was assigned to set up a joint venture company for the operation of the facility.
9 January 1991
Thai Petroleum Pipeline Company Limited (Thappline) was established.
23 April 1992
The construction project began.
23 June 1994
The first batch of oil was pumped into the pipeline system from the Sriracha Pump station.
1 July 1994
Oil distribution services at Lumlukka Terminal, Pathumthani Province was started.
27 July 1994
Jet fuel transport to Don Mueang Airport began.
8 August 1994
Commenced fuel distribution at Saraburi Terminal.
15 May 1995
HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn presided over the official grand opening ceremony.
15 September 2005
Map Ta Phut-Sriracha pipeline commenced operation.
16 September 2006
Jet fuel transport to Savarnabhumi Airport began.
December 2006
Total of 100,000 million liters of fuel were transported through the pipeline system.

30th years anniversary of establishment
October 2022
Total 300,000 million liters of fuel were transported through the pipeline system.
August 2023
Operation for pipeline expansion from Saraburi oil terminal to Khonkhen oil terminal commenced.
